The City does not have a furlough day attached to the upcoming Labor Day holiday. City offices will be open Friday, Sept. 3, but closed on Monday, Sept. 6, for the holiday.

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, Monday, Sept. 6, DART will operate on the following schedule:
Bus and light rail services will follow a Sunday schedule.
The Trinity Railway Express commuter rail will not operate.

City filed in May for a Specific Use Permit on former Dallas Naval Air Station property

The City of Dallas has filed a Zoning Change Application requesting a Specific Use Permit (SUP) to allow XTO Energy Inc. to start drilling for natural gas at a site on the old Dallas Naval Air Station property (Hensley Field).
