The Methodist Hospitals of Dallas Guild will have their annual Jewelry Show and Book Fair on Tuesday through Friday, Feb. 9-12, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at Methodist Charlton and Methodist Dallas. Take time to come by and look for gifts for Valentine's Day (this Sunday, Feb. 14!).

The 8th Annual New Play Competition from TeCo Theatrical Productions, Inc., which opened this past weekend, is a blast from the past -- the 1980s, the theme for this year's entries. This year's competition is held once again at the Bishop Arts Theater Center, 215 S. Tyler (just north of Jefferson Blvd.), and features the work of seven playwrights.

For Valentine's Day, come to Oak Cliff and learn about growing bulbs, the perfect addition to any garden in North Texas. Bulbs cover a wide variety of plants from small crocus to massive elephant ears. This program will help you decide if bulbs are right for you and what bulbs should be planted in your garden, and it will be an opportunity to learn from the successes and failures of 20 years of growing bulbs in North Texas.
